Indulge yourself

Craniosacral Massage

Craniosacral Therapy uses a gentle touch by sensitive, intuitive hands to help evaluate and enhance the function of the craniosacral system. This system includes, but is not exclusive of, the membrane and spinal fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. This gentle, non-invasive technique works on the craniosacral system to maintain balance of the muscles and nerves around the head, neck, and back.

Effective and Efficient

Cranialsacral therapy, in addition to other therapies, helps relieve migraine or tension headaches, TMJ symptoms, as well as assistance in post surgical recovery and emotional release from traumas.

Sharron is currently apprenticing for Cranialsacral Therapy under the guidance of a naturopathic doctor. She feels this is an extension of her Myofascial Release techniques.

Reiki Energy

Reiki is an ancient healing art that utilizes laying hands on a patient to transmit healing power. Reiki, which means "universal life force", is a natural power that was once incorporated into our genetic coding. Through time, this natural power was lost to us, but was rediscovered in the nineteenth century by a Japanese man, Mikao Usui.

Mikao Usui sought the origins of Jesus' and Buddha's methods of healing and found them in the esoteric teachings of India from the ancient remnants of Shiva's early culture.

Create a Sense of Well Being

Clients seek Reiki Energy therapy for a variety of issues including stress reduction, relaxation, increased life force, whole body wellness, promotion of internal peace and harmony, and assistance in healing many different illnesses and maladies.

A Reiki practitioner receives an Attunement of the symbols used in reiki healing from a Master of Reiki who holds Degree III. There are three degrees of Usui Reiki. Sharron has received Degree I in April 1996 from Master Bahni Lee and Degree II in August 1997 from Master Bahni Lee.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage targets the deepest layers of muscle tissue to release muscle tension and alleviate painful knots. Over time, it can help break up scar tissue from past injuries and surgeries as well as assist the body in releasing toxins, which promotes healthier blood and oxygen circulation.

Find Pain Relief

If you suffer from chronic muscle tension or lingering pain from a previous injury, you may benefit from deep tissue massage. Sharron, Royal Health Therapies massage therapist, will work closely with you to develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Over time, you may experience increased mobility, decreased pain, and improved overall health and wellness.

  • Release muscle tension

  • Alleviate painful knots

  • Break up scar tissue

  • Release toxins

Myofascial Release Massage

Myofascial release is an effective, hands-on treatment that breaks up restrictive connective tissue, which can cause pain or reduced mobility.

Restrictive connective tissue often accumulates as a result of stress (physical, mental, or emotional), injuries, traumas, or surgeries. Myofascial release utilizes applied pressure and stretching of soft tissue to break up this restrictive connective tissue.

Since 2009, Sharron has trained in myofascial release with Til Luchau and his team. The Til Luchau method is slow and gentle, which Sharron finds beneficial in reducing pain during treatment and any inflammatory response following treatment.

  • Reduce pain

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Increase range of motion

  • Increase circulation

Personalize Your Treatment

Each massage session can be completed using only myofascial release techniques, or it can combined with other massage techniques (such as swedish massage). Most clients choose a combination in order to facilitate myofascia release, increase circulation, and eliminate toxins released during the session.

Kinesio Rock Taping

Kensio, or Rock Taping, is about movement and support of the body's framework. The basic uses are to improve posture, reduce swelling or inflammation, reduce pain, and support the movement and function of joints and muscles. Clients utilize Kensio for acute or chronic injuries, stresses, strains, surgeries, or for injury prevention or performance enhancement during activities.

Support Joint & Muscle Function

Sharron took her FMT (Functional Movement Technique) basic training in August 2016. She is very excited about adding this tool to her practice and has already seen great results.

  • Enhance performance

  • Support the body's framework

  • Reduce swelling or inflammation

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) encourages the movement of lymph fluid from soft tissue into the circulatory system. MLD massage is gentle; it employs light pressure with a rhythmic, circular motion to stimulate lymphatic flow. Sharron has completed the first week course of the Vodder method of MLD.

Maintain Wellness with Therapeutic Massage

Historically, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) has been used to treat swollen glands and sinusitis. Today, it's primarily used as a therapeutic tool to reduce swelling in lymphedema following breast surgery. Clients whose lymphatic tissue or lymph nodes have been damaged or removed may benefit from MLD therapy.

The use of Manual Lymphatic Drainage should be re-evaluated if the following symptoms occur:

  • If the client develops a sudden and marked increase of swelling, he or she should see their physician for evaluation.
  • If the client experiences an onset of lymphangitis (an infection), MLD should be discontinued until the infection is completely gone.
  • If a client has congestive heart failure, receiving MLD should be re-evaluated since moving too much fluid can put stress on the heart and lungs.
  • If the client is experiencing pain, the cause of pain should be determined before receiving MLD.
